Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls have taken the world by storm and are by far the hottest food trend out there. They come in all kinds of flavors and can be found pretty much anywhere in the world. We had our first experience with this creamy delight a little more than a year ago in Koh Lanta, Thailand. We fell in love after the first spoonful and since then we have kept seeking out smoothie bowls everywhere we go. Bali has so far proven to be the place offering the biggest variety of these delicious bowls and was also the place where we got the idea to start making our own. We've made all kinds of smoothie bowls with berries, tropical fruit, different kinds of plant based milks, and, of course, chocolate. Our favorite so far has been this amazing and protein packed chocolate peanut butter smoothie bowl.

Recipe

Serves 2

This is what you need:

  • 3 frozen bananas (or non frozen for a less creamy version)
  • Half a cup of unsweetened soymilk
  • 3 tablespoons of unprocessed cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons of cold coffee (optional)

Mix all the ingredients in a blender and once smooth, serve in a bowl. Top it with goji berries, banana, organic chocolate syrup, coconut flakes, and whatever else your heart desires.

This delicious recipe is quick to make and is perfect as breakfast on a hot day, a light meal, or as a post-workout snack.
