Pizzatopia - Vegan Pizza in Krakow
Pizzatopia is a restaurant in Krakow with a unique concept that we haven’t seen before. The pizzeria isn't all vegan, but they offer plenty of vegan choices. For a fixed price of 24 zloty ($6.50), you get a pizza made to order in three minutes. It’s kind of like a Subway for pizza, but with a higher standard and without the fast food joint feeling.
First, you pick your base, then you pick you cheese - vegan cheese is an option - followed by whichever toppings you prefer. The pizza is then cooked right in front of you and served within minutes. It’s quick, simple, and surprisingly delicious.
The other option is to order the Vegan'Topia pizza from the menu. The vegan pizza comes with pelati sauce, vegan mozzarella, tomato, red pepper, spinach, dill olive, and balsamic truffle sauce. In addition, they also serve natural sodas and craft beer.
Needless to say, Pizzatopia instantly became one of our favorite spots for eating vegan in Krakow. But heads up, this pizzeria is popular, and sometimes there can be a bit of a line.
- What to order: Get a vegan pizza made to order with your favorite toppings or try the Vegan'Topia pizza from the menu.
- Pizzatopia Address: Szewska 22, 31-009 Kraków, Poland
Pierogowy Raj - Vegan Pierogi in Krakow
When we first arrived in Krakow, our mission was to get our hands on some authentic vegan pierogies, and it didn’t take long before we did. Following recommendations from other vegans in Krakow, we ventured out to find a small local restaurant located on one of the main streets in the Old Town.
Pierogowy Raj is very popular among the locals and only has four tables. They serve several different kinds of pierogies and other Polish classics and have devoted a part of their menu to clearly marked vegan options.
More importantly, the food is really well-made and the vegan pierogies are the best we’ve ever had. They offer 8 kinds of vegan pierogies and 12 kinds of vegetarian pierogies.
Our favorites were the ones made with potatoes, millet, and onion and another kind made with mushrooms. You can also choose to have the pierogies served with fried onions on top, and it is to die for!
We can't recommend this local Polish restaurant enough for those looking to try some vegan pierogies in Krakow.
- What to order: Get a mixed plate with different vegan pierogies!
- Pierogowy Raj Address: Sławkowska 25, 33-332 Kraków, Poland
Sufeat - Polish Vegan Restaurant in Krakow
If you are interested in trying some traditional veganized Polish dishes, we highly recommend a visit to Sufeat. Sufeat is an all vegan Krakow restaurant located a bit outside of the city center across the river from the Jewish Quarter. The menu is only in Polish but the staff will translate it for you.
The vegan food served at Sufeat is home-cooked comfort food at its finest. Think hearty vegan cutlets and potatoes.
In our opinion, the Schabowy is a must try at Sufeat. Schabowy is a vegan soy cutlet, similar to a schnitzel, and at Sufeat it's served with potatoes and cucumbers in a garlic sauce.
With a cozy interior and delicious traditional Polish dishes, it only took one visit for Sufeat to become one of our favorite vegan restaurants in Krakow.
Krakow is a small city, and Sufeat is reachable by foot from most areas of the center. Although if you don’t feel like walking, you can take an Uber for roughly $5 return trip.
- What to order: Try the Schabowy, and you won’t regret yourself.
- Sufeat Address: Jana Długosza 2, 30-512 Kraków, Poland
Mihiderka - Vegan Burgers
A stone’s throw away from the Castle, down a side street, you’ll find Mihiderka. Mihiderka is an all vegan Krakow restaurant serving a couple of starters, vegan burgers, soups, and dessert.
The menu is English, the staff are friendly, and the food is well-made so it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Also, Mihiderka is apparently part of a chain of vegan restaurants, and you can find locations in both Gliwice and Wroclaw.
The Polish people are crazy about burgers, and you’ll soon realize that most vegan restaurants in Krakow serve at least one or two vegan burgers. And out of all the burgers we ate during our two weeks in Krakow, Mihiderka served some of the best.
What to order: The hummus plate is a good starter and the BBQ burger is very tasty.
Mihiderka Address: Józefa 22, 31-056 Kraków, Poland
Slodki Wentzl - Ice Cream and Dessert
In Galeria Krakowska, the mall that’s connected to the train station, you’ll find a Carrefour, which is one of the most well-stocked grocery stores in central Krakow. You'll also find a dessert place called Slodki Wentzl. This cafe is not all vegan, but they have a few clearly marked vegan options such as ice cream and cakes.
We tried the vegan chocolate and the vegan halva ice cream once after we stopped by the grocery store. And even though it’s not anywhere close to the best vegan ice cream we’ve had, it was a nice place to enjoy a dessert.
- What to order: Try their ice cream or see what vegan cakes they have on offer
- Slodki Wentzl Address: Galeria Krakowska, Pawia 5, 31-154 Kraków, Poland (plus another location)
Veganic - Vegetarian and Vegan Krakow Restaurant
Veganic is a must-visit vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Krakow. The restaurant is huge and upscale with a great garden that’s open during summer where you can enjoy a drink and dinner in good company.
We ended up living around the corner from Veganic and visited a few times during our stay. The menu consists of a mix of classic Polish dishes, pasta dishes, and burgers. Veganic also has a full bar with beer, wine, and a long list of Polish vodkas.
We tried several of the dishes and really enjoyed the gnocchi with vegan cheese sauce and the polenta fries.
Note that Veganic is a vegetarian restuant, but all of the vegan dishes are clearly marked on the menu.
- What to order: Start off with some Russian pierogies and get the pasta or burger as a main.
- Veganic Address: Dolnych Młynów 10, 31-124 Kraków, Poland

Vegano Cafe - Sandwiches and Coffee
Vegano Cafe is a recently opened vegan cafe in Krakow located a few minutes walk from Veganic. The place is open from early morning until 18:00, and they serve sandwiches and breakfast items, coffee, and sweets.
Vegano Cafe has made a name for themselves as the go-to breakfast spot for vegans in Krakow, and we can understand why.
We tried two different ciabatta sandwiches and they were both freshly made and super tasty as was the coffee. In addition, the cafe has a great atmosphere, and the staff makes you feel welcomed right away.
- What to order: You can’t go wrong with a ciabatta sandwich and a coffee.
- Vegano Cafe Address: Henryka Siemiradzkiego 25, 31-137 Kraków, Poland
Krowarzywa Vegan Burger
If you’ve read our Vegan Warsaw Guide, you already know how much we love Krowarzywa Vegan Burger and how they were awarded “the best burger in Warsaw” several times. Lucky for us, there is a Krowarzywa in Krakow too, and we couldn’t wait to try it out.
The menu is the same in Krakow as it is in Warsaw, and you get to choose between several types of vegan patties on a roll of your choice as well as which sauces you prefer on it.
As of 2018, Krowarzywa serves a vegan hot dog, and you can also order your burger as a wrap or as a salad to change things up a bit.
This vegan restaurant in Krakow is located in the middle of Old Town and is definitely a must-visit for all vegans traveling to Krakow.
- What to order: We prefer the pastrami on a whole wheat roll with spicy tomato and mayo.
- Krowarzywa Vegan Burger Address: Sławkowska 8, 31-014 Kraków, Poland
Vegab - Vegan Kebab and Fast Food
Vegab is a vegan kebab joint and another super popular vegan restaurant in Krakow. The menu is simple with four versions of a vegan shawarma including:
- Beirut - This classic kebab comes with hummus, tahini, and pickled cucumbers.
- Olymp - A Greek version of a kebab that comes with tzatziki, sundried tomatoes, and olives. You can add vegan feta cheese for an extra charge.
- Hamster - This kebab is simple with just peanut butter and coconut sauce.
- Aloha - For those that like sweet combined with savory, this is the vegan kebab for you. It comes with mango sauce and marinated pineapple.
The kebabs come in two sizes, tortilla or you can get the maxi for a few zloty extra. Personally, Adam got the maxi Olymp kebab, and it was difficult even for him to finish.
They also serve a hot dog and a vegan lasagna as well as some vegan desserts that we didn’t get the chance to try.
Vegab is the perfect place to grab a quick lunch, and it’s located at a very accessible location just outside the Krakow Old Town.
- What to order: Try the Olymp kebab with vegan feta cheese!
- Vegab Address: Starowiślna 6, 31-038 Kraków, Poland (plus one more location)
Pod Norenami - Vegan Asian Food in Krakow
Pod Norenami is a vegetarian and vegan Asian fusion restaurant in Krakow with an extensive menu full of Asian delights. You can get everything from Thai and Chinese curries and spring rolls to Nepalese momos, Japanese sushi, and much more.
On most nights you’ll have to make a reservation because Pod Norenami is the go-to spot for vegetarians and vegans in Krakow. Because of this, we were really excited to try it but, unfortunately, we were a bit let down.
As two people that have spent most of our twenties in Asia, it’s not easy to impress us with Asian food, and Pod Norenami fell kind of flat. Pod Norenami is also more expensive than the rest of the restaurants on this list. That being said, we’ve heard from other vegan travelers that enjoyed the food, so give it a try and see if you like it.
- What to order: The vegan sushi was probably the best dish we had.
- Pod Norenami Address: Krupnicza 6, 33-332 Kraków, Poland
Final Verdict: Does Krakow or Warsaw Have Better Vegan Food?
Sorry to disappoint Krakow, but in our opinion, Warsaw wins for better vegan food. Now, that is not to say that we didn't enjoy the vegan food in Krakow because we did. But let us explain why we think Warsaw has a better vegan scene.
Besides the fact that we feel that Warsaw is a much more livable city for vegan digital nomads, we also love how accessible vegan food is in Warsaw. Most vegan restaurants are dotted around Hoza street or a short walk away. In Krakow, vegan restaurants are more spread out and a further walk from one another.
Also, Krakow has a great variety of vegan food from Asian fusion to vegan kebabs and hearty local Polish food, however, Warsaw is home to an even great variety of vegan food and restaurants.
With that said, Krakow still offers plenty of delicious food for the vegan traveler and is definitely worth a visit especially to see Auschwitz.
